Petr Nižňanský - Who am I and what am I doing?

Peter Nižňanský has finished Academy of Fine Arts in Prague in atelier of prof. Jiří Bradáček (1978–84). Since the beginning of his independent work it was clear, that we shall have here an intellectual-type sculptor, with strong humanistic feeling and psychologized access to theme.

Philosophic and symbolic content became the fundamental attribute of his work, with occasional literal and style interferences, which aspires to urgent convey by sculptural statement, and from formal point of view, with excellent modeling skill and tendence both to expressive autographic detail and to monumentalized notion.
